The Beauty of Skincare and Makeup

This time of the year is HARSH on our skin. Cold windy days, indoor heating, warm days (?!), dehydration, extra makeup, too tired to remove the makeup, late nights, stress, hormones, nutrition or lack thereof. . it takes a toll on our bodies. The first place this shows is on our lovely faces.

There are simple solutions to hide what’s happening, but you have to treat the cause not only the effect. As you can see, I’m tired & dehydrated.

The Jane Iredale mineral makeup range is a natural, gentle way to camouflage this. Yay! Jane Iredale offers a number of foundations, including their hyaluronic acid rich liquid minerals to help restore the look of radiance by plumping and hydrating the skin, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and evening out skin tone.

To really help rejuvenate the skin, facials are an integral part of an effective skincare routine. Products you use at home help to support the deeper work of a facial and give you longer lasting benefits.

The picture on the left is from yesterday, the one on the right is from today after a facial. The texture of my skin is much softer and smoother, the colouring is even and the redness reduced. Plus, I feel much more relaxed.

While makeup and facials help to keep us looking our best during this time of the year, don’t forget we still have to eat well, drink plenty of water and get our sleep! It’s tough to find the balance so do the best you can. Be kind to yourself.

If you’d like to come in for a Jane Iredale consultation and foundation colour match or book your own facial, please get in touch! You’ll feel much better – I know I did!
